  • A large, double-sided wooden chalk slate with more writing space than most standard slates on the market. At about 38 × 30 cm (15 × 12 inches), it gives learners room to write freely without running out of space halfway through a word or a sum.

    The front has red and blue writing lines, spaced generously so letters can be formed at a comfortable size with clear spacing between them. The back has a grid of 100 big squares, each roomy enough to write a full number, practise maths, or draw shapes without squeezing. The sturdy wooden frame is built to last through daily classroom and home use.

    Writing with chalk on a slate is a classic first step before pencil and paper. Big letters and big numbers are easier to form when starting out, and the extra space on this slate lets learners write at that size. They build a firm grip, control of their strokes, and confidence, and mistakes wipe away in seconds.

    Care and use

    • Chalk is not included and should be purchased separately.
    • Use chalk only. Do not write on the slate with a pencil or pen.
    • Wipe clean with a duster or a slightly damp cloth.
    • Store in a dry place. The pack may include a silica gel sachet to keep moisture out; throw it away after opening.
